Student Journey Through Montessori Teaching with ECCE online at Portobello Institute.

“I have been working as a childminder for so many years and I decided to have a proper theoretical and practical knowledge about how to educate and support children in order to enrich my work.

“I opted for the blended learning method because as I work in-person weekdays I could not commit myself to go to the Institute during the week, and honestly it was the best option for me.

“The online classes were on Saturday and they were amazing, very educative, informative, and dynamic. The practical Montessori classes in the Institute are scheduled in advance and they are brilliant.

“Amy Burns (my Montessori tutor) is an example of a person who really loves her job. She has a great passion for Montessori and she delivered it in every class.

“The classes were very dynamic, full of examples, videos, stories and she really interacted with all the students.

“She makes me feel very comfortable during the classes and her passion for Montessori gave me the curiosity, interest, and passion for Montessori and my future journey working as a teacher.

“The beginning of the course surprised me in a such good way and I can guarantee that the entire journey is very gratifying.

“The practical classroom workshops were extremely important and necessary for the learning process. I felt more confident having the opportunity to use the Montessori material and to be in a classroom as a student and as a future teacher.

“The course taught me the real importance of supporting the child`s development, how each step is important, and how I can really assist them when I have the proper knowledge.

“The course helped me to see that every child is unique and how I as an educator, can help them to be their best version.

“I am delighted to say that I got a position in a Creche/Montessori already and after I finish the ECCE part of my course I will continue my educational journey,” she said.
